Julie Shulman is a writer, designer, and general creative roustabout living near Boston with her husband and three boys.

She recently completed her MFA in creative writing at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, where she was a merit scholar.

Her work is featured in multiple journals and anthologies, and has been nominated for Best New Poets, as well as shortlisted for the Canto Poetry Prize. She was a finalist for the Slice Poetry Chapbook Contest, runner-up for the Eggtooth Chapbook Competition, and winner of the 2026 Wil Mills Chapbook Contest for her manuscript Erratics.
